Marintec China
With China’s status as one of the most important shipbuilding and shipping regions in the world, it makes sense that it would also host one of the largest maritime industry trade shows. The event has been happening for over 30 years, and it focuses on improving partnership and communication within the industry. The event draws over 40,000 attendees and has over 1,000 exhibits. 2011’s Marintec will focus on the recovery of the shipbuilding and maritime industries after the economic collapse of 2008-2009.
Phuket International Marine Expo
This fair claims to be Asia’s largest in-water boat show. The show is primarily for pleasure boats, and not industrial technology. Makers like Benneti and Aziumut sell boats to buyers from Manila, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other Southeast Asian cities. The show draws nearly 6,000 visitors. 2011 will mark the 8th annual show, bringing over 100 exhibitors.
Pacific Marine Expo
This expo is aimed at commercial marines on the Pacific seaboard of the United States. It takes place in Seattle, Washington, and has technology, repairs, and upgrades for commercial boats.
